George Lawton was an English footballer who played for Stoke.

Career

Lawton was signed from local side Stoke St Peter's in 1885. In January 1886 he joined nearby Burslem Port Vale, where he scored three times in thirteen friendlies, before returning to Stoke later in the year.[1] He played in 13 competitive games for Stoke, also scoring 1 goal. He left Stoke in January 1889 to play for Altrincham.[2]
